Frequently asked questions
Is Family Circle really invite-only?
Yes. There is no public sign-up form. Every member joins through a token-gated invitation issued by an organization admin, and signups without a valid invite are rejected at the database level.
How is this different from GroupMe or a parent text chain?
Group texts mix every team, club, and school into one noisy thread, leak personal phone numbers, and have no schedule, RSVP, or admin controls. Family Circle gives each organization a private circle with structured messages, calendar, announcements, and roles — so the right people get the right updates.
What does it cost during the pilot?
The Team tier is free during early-access pilots for a single coach or club leader (up to about 30 families). Club and League pricing is planned after pilot — request access and we'll confirm your tier before you onboard families.
Who owns the content posted in our organization?
You do. Organizations and their members retain ownership of their content. We host and display it solely to operate Family Circle for you, and we never use your content for advertising or model training.
What happens when a family leaves the team?
An admin removes the membership in one click. The family loses access to that organization's feed, calendar, and messages immediately. Pending invitations to the same email are revoked. Families can also delete their own account from Settings; see our Privacy Policy for how posted content and backups are handled.
Can one parent belong to multiple organizations?
Yes — a single account can be invited into multiple teams, clubs, and schools. The family dashboard merges every organization into one feed, calendar, and notification stream.
We have more than one child in different activities — does that work cleanly?
Yes. Parents switch between linked students in the family app, and each child's feed, calendar, and notifications stay scoped to the right teams and clubs. One login covers every organization your children belong to.
How do you handle photos of children?
Photos live inside the private organization that posted them. There is no public gallery, no algorithmic feed, and no third-party sharing. Admins can remove any photo, and families can delete their own uploads at any time.
